For Erland Cooper, nature is not silent – it speaks to us. The Scottish composer / producer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound philosopher finds resonance in the world that surrounds us. Since his 2018 debut, “Solan Goose”, he has demonstrated this time and again in various forms and has embedded his work in expansive ideas. The concept of psychogeography – which links music, places, memories, and identity – has been central to the artist’s creations. As a sculptor of modern classical music, as an eclectic of spatial ambient music, and not least, as an interdisciplinary observer of the sensual reality around him, Cooper has developed new methods of contemporary composition. His latest albums, “Music For Growing Flowers” (2022) and “Folded Landscapes” (2023), allowed him to develop these concepts further. He will be on stage with us this September with old and new material and is sure to create a connection between the audience and the world at large.
